Profile

As a student, I am currently enrolled in the Bachelor of Nursing Course at UWS Parramatta. Also, I completed a four week placement at Nepean Hospital, Kingwood. Through this placement I learned to enhance my ability in communicating with others. I completed Certificate III & IV in Aged Care and have more than three years experience as an assistant nurse. In terms of work experience, I worked fifteen years as an electronics technician and tester. I also have two years of experience as a payroll assistant. I am an effective communicator. For instance, I always start friendly conversations with patients to get to know them better. As a nurse, I always strive to inherit the trust of my patients. I have the ability to problem solve and understand medical files and express a rational care. I am a sympathetic listener with patients and take time to talk with them at my workplace.  After achieving the Bachelor of nursing degree, my goal as a future nurse is to become Midwife. This course will provide me the basic knowledge and necessary learning to become a midwife and allocate understanding about patients. According to ANMC, (2006, 2008a, 2008b) as a nurse I need to respect self-esteem and maintain privacy all patients. I will continue to update my knowledge according to the ANMC documents by attending short courses.
